Ben’s journey has been marked by excellence, passion, and resilience from a young age. With a background shaped by excelling in various pursuits, Ben recognises the significance of swiftly pivoting and maximising opportunities at the right moment. His adventurous spirit resulted in him spending four years in America pursuing his passion for golf, followed by an opportunity to play professional golf in China, though the onset of Covid prompted a quick change in career direction. Growing up in the beachside town of Robe in regional South Australia, Ben has a passion for providing digital finance solutions to small businesses, bypassing geographical boundaries with a flexible work schedule and regular travel. Since entering the brokerage arena in 2019, he successfully acquired and nurtured a growing brokerage in South Australia, focusing primarily on residential lending. He identified a significant market gap, recognising the need to provide comprehensive finance solutions for small businesses. This led him to collaborate with Nick in creating Search Commercial & Asset. Ben has witnessed the challenges faced by small businesses lacking proper advice, resulting in difficulties obtaining funds, questionable product choices, or relying on online solutions with limited knowledge. He firmly believes that offering the right experience and advice is crucial for SMEs to maximise growth opportunities and overcome short-term hurdles within a timeline that suits their business.
